Extension of payment holiday

Can anyone tell me how long you can get an extension to pay your holiday. I'm with jet 2 and have 1800 still to pay but really need an extension.. I have read that they gave 4 weeks before departure but that was when nobody was here. Anyone recently done this... it's my kids main Christmas present and I'm so anxious to know I'm able to take them as they know about it. Thankyou

I imagine it's on a case by case basis so all you can do is contact them and see what they say

Can I extend my balance due date?
If you need some extra time to pay your final balance, the option to extend your balance is available from twelve weeks to departure. Please note you can only push your balance due date back to eight weeks prior to departure and you won’t be able to make any further part payments once you are past your original due date.

From Jet2 holidays website

I had the option for an extra 4 weeks this year so they still do it. I think mine came up on the jet2 app saying I could extend by 4 weeks. So usually same pay date just the next month I think. There was something about if I payed more in between taking the option to delay and the payment then it would cancel the extra time so double check that. If its not showing on the app just give them a call. They are usually very helpful.

Why would you tell them about it when you don't have the money to pay for it?

But how long before the holiday did that take you to? I think OP wants the payment to be 4 weeks before the holiday rather than just adding some extra time

Ah I can't actually remember it maybe the 8 weeks before like quoted above. Best thing is to phone them and ask. @Tiamiine

I'm really hoping they give me the 4 weeks ... I need at least 6 but I.will ring and ask the travel agent just isn't very pleasant! Thank you x

Also I told them about it as we had to stop our weekends out extra treats etc as it was an inexpensive holiday so I wanted them to know why we had to cut down on things!
