I am looking at a family holiday in Saint Malo - 2 adults 10 and 13 year old. We live at least a 6 hour drive from Portsmouth (more in traffic) and as we are only going for a week I'm not keen to drive and ferry.
I've found reasonably priced flights to Paris and the train to Saint Malo is only 2 and a bit hours, that seems like a much more relaxing option. I've found quite a few suitable apartments in Saint Malo. Will stay either side one night in Paris as I have a friend who lives there.
I have stumbled across Le P'tit Bois Yelloh campsite. It looks great but I can't tell if its a bit remote or not. Has anyone stayed here? Is it feasible to stay here without a car? Is there anything around the site like shops etc? Can you get a bus to Saint Malo for the day?
