I just priced up a weekend break to Alton Towers, staying in the Alton Towers hotel, for 2 adults and 2 children.

£738!!!!!

I'll cross that off the list then...

Ouch !! Get a 2 day pass and stay at a b&b close by

Sidge · 21/04/2008 18:14

I think that's the best option!!

I quite fancied staying in the hotel, it looked fun. Oh well, better wait for that Lottery win...

Blimey. I priced up 4 days in Center Parcs for me and Dh and DS. I nearly keeled over when it came in at over a grand. Forget it!

Sounds familiar.

I looked up a day trip to Legoland with overnight hotel stay for 2 adults and 3 children and it was about £500

I fancied going for a weekend in May, to celebrate our wedding anniversary before DH goes away again. I've never been to Alton Towers and thought maybe we could make a bit of a special occasion of it. But it's about 500 quid over my budget!

I liked the look of this hotel

Your session had timed out TMMJ, but when I searched it brought up one called Crewe Hall - was that what you were looking at?

Looks nice and much cheaper!
