Resorts with crèche/kids club

Hi everyone! My husband and I have tended to stay in Airbnbs when we've travelled with kids, but often the holiday isn't very relaxing, just looking after kids in a new location! So we're hoping to go away in May to somewhere with a kids club so we can relax a bit.

The challenge is that a lot of places' kids clubs are 4+. We have a 2yo as well as a 4yo, so we're hoping to find somewhere that has a crèche/toddler club where the younger one can go.

So please, if you know somewhere like this, share your recommendations! Ideally looking at Spain/Portugal/Italy/Greece/Turkey.

Thank you!

Does it have to be beach? I found beaches quite stressful with toddlers! How about one of the Kinderhotels? So geared up for families and great childcare.

H10 Lanzarote Gardens, kids club from 6m.

Recently returned from Sani in Greece where we put both baby and toddler in the crèche. We were in Porto Sani which was ideal for small children.

Ikos resorts have crèche and kids club facilities, and evening babysitting is done by the kids club staff. We've been to Dassia twice and our girls love kids club, they both ask to go. (They were 4.5 and just turned 2 when we were last there)

Not the point but I would never put my kids in kids club. We tried it when they were 8 and 10 and my 8 year old walked out.

Yeah I would feel a but mean. The kids always look a bit sorry for themselves. I work full time so like spending time with my ds on holiday.

They are not ther all day though…it’s usually just a few hours. A few hours to recharge and destress is all most parents need when on a holiday.

Are you trying to be rude? You sound like you are trying to make others feel bad for wanting a few hours downtime. It doesn’t make you a better parent.

cuckooooooo · 27/09/2024 06:42

@Statsworry1 I'm not saying I'm a better parent I'm just saying how I see it whenever I've gone on holiday. I get my downtime in the evenings. We're all different. I know my ds world hate these clubs

cuckooooooo · 27/09/2024 06:43

Plus I don't want to leave my kid with random strangers on holiday

Santasbigredbobblehat · 27/09/2024 06:44

Martinhal.

It’s fine to want someone else to amuse your children for a few hours. Especially at that age.

This is all very fascinating, this insight into you. Not of any relevance to the OP though.

Hellohah · 27/09/2024 06:53

@cuckooooooo you're not saying you're a better a parent but you're implying it from up there on your high horse.
This thread wasn't ... Would you put your children in a kid's club?
Absolutely no need for your response at all.

WhatInFreshHell · 27/09/2024 07:19

@cuckooooooo Hope you don't get a nice bleed from all the way up there.

LilyGlobe · 27/09/2024 07:31

Pine Cliffs in Portugal, book through Scott Dunn. They have a nursery and a kids club on site.
The resort was great and I cannot recommend Scott Dunn enough, the entire team were so friendly and helpful.

belladonna22 · 27/09/2024 08:06

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to explore these options 😎

And for what it's worth, I feel zero guilt about using the kids club. A holiday isn't all about the kids, the parents deserve a break, too. Getting some time away from them makes me much more present and patient during the time when we are together - which makes for a much more pleasant holiday all around, rather than two stressed and grumpy parents!

I agree Op.

Liberty Lykia in Turkey was our most successful holiday. The dc loved it, we loved it. A win win all round.

minipie · 27/09/2024 23:01

Mousses in Greece - especially if you aren’t big hotel people and prefer low key and more authentic. It’s the very rare combination of small scale with great childcare for tinies.

Or if you want luxe and are happy in big resorts then Sani.

minipie · 27/09/2024 23:01

Oh and mine have always LOVED kids’ clubs and asked to go to them! Zero guilt here!
