Paphos

Hi hubby and I are going to Paphos for a week any recommendations for good day trips please ?

There are two really good archaeological sites, one is really close to the centre, Paphos archeological park. It has some seriously exceptional Roman mosaics. The other is just outside town , Tomb of the Kings . Just be careful as the tombs don't have good lighting and I tore my rotator cuff trying to stop myself from falling into one

Look at Jimmy's Jeep safaris, they are great for getting round to see the island. We've done 2 different trips and both were really good. Interesting stops plus lunch somewhere you wouldn't necessarily find on your own.

Trips to the Troodos mountains are always good.

I second the archaeological ruins suggestion too.

If you also like days on the beach get the bus to Coral Bay. Lovely, sandy beaches there and easy bathing in the sea too.

definitely visit Agios Giorgios beach. It's a bit rough and ready, but less commercial. you can get sunbeds and parasols. Pay at the little cafe (who do great food).
You might be lucky and see the turtle if you swim in the bay. It has swum along with my husband several times.

I'm going next month and we're trying paddleboarding and going snorkelling with turtles (hopefully).
