I'm thinking of a few days in Athens next Spring.

I want to do all the tourist stuff but also start in a resort like hotel. The coast looks close by in reality is it actually?

Any suggestions on where to stay and things to do that aren't obvious?

Will be me and sister, both 50s. No kids this time.

If you want to stay in a resort on the coast, have a look for hotels in Glyfada. I think it’s doable by tram into the centre of Athens.

I’d recommend a walk up to Kaisariani Monastery.
It’s possible to do a day trip to Delphi. It’s a long day, but worth it in my opinion. Lots of tour operators to choose from.
