Where is good & cheap for a city break 2a 1c<10yo at the end of April / start of May?

Ideally not too far from the UK (done Paris)

Bologna

Amsterdam (although weather not necessarily great in April)
Edinburgh

We went to Barcelona at a similar time, coincidentally our anniversary but not our 10th which we spent in Venice.
Mid-April, Barcelona was lovely, sunny and warm but not too hot with more than enough to do for a week. We did a side trip to the Freixenet winery too.

Malaga. We got an Airbnb for such a good price last year.
