Snowy picturesque train journey?

Hi all,

Any recommendations for any train journeys in Europe that are super picturesque and snowy? DH has commented multiple times how he’d love to do this (we’ve seen them on social media) and I’d love to book something.

I was hoping it could tie in with a Christmas market somewhere.

You can take the train from Oslo to Røros. Røros also have a beautiful Christmas market, Verthuset and Bergstaden are lovely hotels. At the market there will be horse and sleigh rides and it's a beautiful area.

I live in this area and it's stunning. Our snow is due to start this week! But it can get very very cold.

The Bernina Express is wonderful (with lovely big glass windows!) We took it all the way from Tirano to St Moritz and the scenery was beautiful.

We have done Freiburg in the Black Forest up to Titizee a few times

This is what I’d love to do! However we’ve only got one night.

I’ve looked at flying to Zurich and then going from Chur but I’m not sure if it would be too much to do with just one night.
