Thailand internal flights

planning a trip to Thailand and not the best flyer! Just wondered if anyone could recommended the best/safest domestic airline. Would be flying Bangkok to Phuket or Krabi and return. Also what is the aircraft like on the domestic flights? Very small? With propellers?

Alternative I have seen is a bus from Bangkok to Phuket but that takes up a lot of time and not sure if we would feel any safer on that as not sure what the roads etc are like.

We regularly fly from Bangkok to Koh Samui with Bangkok Airways. The planes are normally a 3 - 3 configuration, the plane was airbus size. A few airlines do a stop over at Doha and then straight into Phuket.

They’re not tiny planes, like on a Kenya safari for example. I avoided Nok Air but have used others. Also used 12Go.asia for flight comparison and purchasing tickets.

@LoobyLous Thank you stopping at Bangkok first as 2 night stay there first hut could look at doha for return flight

@Bluezoo123 we absolutely love Bangkok and always do a few days stop over too. It’s such an amazing place.
