Winter sun/late feb?

Looking for recommendations for a winter holiday for myself, DH and our 2 year old daughter. I am pregnant and Zika is a concern so that means the Caribbean etc are off the list. Is Turkey nice that time of year? I was looking at Abu Dhabi but I can't make it work for the budget we've got

Any recommendations appreciated!

Turkey won’t be warm enough and most resorts will be closed.

Egypt or Canaries would be worth looking at.

I'd go with Canaries. There's loads of child friendly hotels to choose from and it's a pretty short flight around 4 hours. Just make sure the pools are heated (including the kids pool, as sometimes only one adult pool is heated and the kids pool is freezing!). Temperatures were around low to mid 20s when we went in Feb, pleasant enough to wear shorts or dresses and certainly a nice change from UK winter, but there was a bit of a chilly wind at times.

Mauritius if budget allows and you can face the overnight flight
Canaries if not

Cape Verde? I'm thinking of going there. Some friends of mine went there February of this year and liked it.

We did Egypt in February and it was hot but not HOT. It was super windy though which made it feel cooler. It was cold at night and the pools were chilly.

Turkey will be cold and most places will be closed.

The canaries can feel quite cold in Jan/Feb but will be much warmer than the UK. Cape Verde is a good idea if you just want a hot poolside holiday - there's not much else going on there!
