Feb half term - weather and culture

Does anyone have any great suggestions for where makes a good destination from the UK for February half term? I don't really want to just be in a resort, so looking at somewhere where the weather is warm but there are lots of things to do from an interest perspective - walks, culture, good food etc. I've been looking at Canaries or Cape Verde, but they might be really windy or quite resorty. Seychelles? Oman? Somewhere in southern Africa. Not sure we'd have the time/budget for Caribbean. If anyone has any ideas based on their February half term trips, I'd love to hear them. Thank you.

Morocco?

Jordan was fab, just an amazing week.
Oman has lots to do, more RnR
Loved Morocco, but Marrakesh, not the sea
The Gambia was interesting and can also go to senegal
I have been to Florida in Feb, but not really worth it IMO for a week.

Out of them all I’d choose Jordan again.

Seychelles is just as far as the Caribbean! Fabulous though.

I’d be cautious with Jordan in February temperature wise- we went in March and it was low 20s in Aqaba but 5c in the mountains!

Madeira?

Are you happy doing long haul for a week?
