Avios portal not giving points - help!

I have started collecting Avios and am doing all my shopping via the BA shopping portal. This seems to be very hit and miss as to whether it actually does "track" the purchase or not - even when it says it is tracking. I have recently put through some big purchases that should be worth a lot of points but it doesn't seem to record them. Complaining seems to be impossible - the page either doesn't work, or the page that does work only lets you complain about the purchases it recognizes. Driving me mad! Any tips please??! I'd be so grateful.

in my experience they take
quite a while to come through- it might be that?

I hope so! Most of mine come through as a confirmation within 24-48 hours but the others aren't listed as even being recognized. They list it as having been tracked but not that I've made purchases. So annoying!

In my experience, some take ages to come through, some will only come through when you complain they are missing (you have to wait for a certain time to do this), and some will never appear because they don't want to pay them even if it was offered as giving points.

I agree! Exactly this is happening. Makes me really cross when it says it's tracked the visit and then blatantly hasn't! (Can you tell I'm desperate for more holidays?!)

Have you downloaded the avios app? There's a section on there which shows pending points. I normally get an email when the initial purchase has been made saying how many points I will receive, and then another email which could be up to 3 months depending on the store, when they have been credited to my account.

I've had a lot of problems with the avios shopping portal and poor customer service when raising queries, so rarely use it now and only if a supplier isn't on TCB and with the attitude if avios are awarded it's a bonus.
