Hi Jaynel. My one year old has a blood spot just below one eye that appeared at 6 months - so not considered a birth mark. It started out quite small but became more raised and wider - so went to the Dr's who told me to take photos of it and monitor closely (ie take measurements every month) He asked to see DS2 every 6 weeks whilst it was still changing shape and said if it got to be 'big' he would refer me to a consultant. Then at around 11 months, the spot quite quickly reduced and is now fairly small and flat. My advice is to get it checked out by a Dr - who will probably reassure you that its nothing to worry about. Several friends pointed out their own or children's blood spots when i expressed my concerns about DS's and I had never even noticed their presence before.

Hope this helps you.
