Italy doesn't really do AI. Anyway , the food is amazing. Better to have a b and b /apartment and eat out ?

Greenbanana7 · 15/09/2024 21:58

Boo! Anyone have any recommendations of nice places to stay in Italy by the coast?

What about Sardinia? No personal recs, I just know a family who did an AI resort there this summer and thought it was fab (I can’t remember the name I’m afraid)

Don't think you'll find AI in Italy really. There's no need, just eat out. So many good restaurants wherever you go

minipie · 15/09/2024 23:56

There are lots of hotels that do half board. They’re not really big resorts though.

6 of you - does this include kids? Do you want pools etc or nice food and sight seeing?

Henleylady · 16/09/2024 09:48

Is it a summer beach holiday you want?

SnowflakeSmasher86 · 16/09/2024 09:49

Why would you go to a country that prides itself on amazing food and end up eating tepid buffet food?

Lovethatforyouhun · 16/09/2024 09:54

TUI Magic Life Calabria fits your brief

of forte sardinia but more expensive

I love Italy. I think Sorrento is my favourite. Loads to do and see. No current recommendations for places to stay, but if you are eating out the restaurant owners are ridiculously welcoming to families, and will do their absolute best to accommodate you.

But you could say that about anywhere ? Mostly when people go AI it's because they like to know the costs are all included - very important if you have a large family.
