Hello, I really would like some European destination holiday ideas. This year I went to Kos last year I went to Tenerife and I loved it. In a few years time I'm looking too go on holiday again but I need ideas. A family with 2 teenagers and it would be nice to be in a nice quiet area with a good beach but also walking distance to restaurants and shops. I'm thinking maybe another greek island, maybe Cyprus? Portugal, Majorca/Menorca I'm not sure but I don't want to go somewhere that a little run down if you get what I mean somewhere nice and quiet with a good beach
Thank you

We went with Jet 2 to Cavtat in Croatia. Very pretty, quiet little town, incredible harbour, stunning views, good restaurants and not tacky - no nightclubs etc. It's an hour on a boat to Dubrovnik for a bit more to explore. There are a couple of good beaches but pebbly rather than sandy. The water is crystal clear. It's a good place for teens who can swim - we actually preferred going into the sea from the rocky peninsula next to the town than from the beaches - just SO pretty. Wouldn't be great for small children but for teens and parents it was great.
Can't fault Jet2 by the way - all very smooth.

Thank you, and just a quick question why won't it be good for small children, is it because there isn't much activities to do? By the time we go they'll be around 15-18 so I'm sure they won't need to much activities but thank you I will look into it!

I just mean it's not easy to get into the sea with small children because the pebble beaches get deep quite quickly, and going in the sea off the rocks wouldn't be easy. It's not really a 'kid's club' kind of place, from what I could see, although there were a couple of hotels that looked a bit more like that in the further bay (Cavtat is on 3 bays). We liked the old town, the restaurants, the Bukovac House, the walks in the pine woods etc. If I were going with small kids I'd go somewhere with big pools, slides etc - it's not really that.

Ohh yes I get what you mean I checked on the jet 2 websites and there isn't any 'all inclusive type places with water parks' but it looks amazing does Croatia!
