Ideas for short break at the start of January

Trying to think of somewhere to go to celebrate a special family birthday. We are very constrained on how long we can go for due to 5 people’s different work constraints!

At a pinch we could leave on Friday evening but Saturday morning to Sunday evening would be better.

Due to the time of year I don’t fancy anything in the rural UK. Live near London so not there.

So far we have thought of Lille (short train ride on the Eurostar) but open to suggestions.
