Ikos in the Rain

Hello

We are due to go to Ikos next week for 5 nights but the weather is looking pretty miserable for most of the time we're there. We have toddlers and wondering if anyone has any recommendations of how to keep them entertained in the rain? Any tourist attractions nearby?

Big thanks

Which Ikos are you going to?

Sorry! Olivia.

Kids club?
Also children are allowed in the spa pool during certain times

I've been there a couple of times while it's rained. They opened up the indoor spa pool so people could still swim.

You get free rental of a tesla for a day so take advantage of that on the worst day, but honestly there isn't huge amounts to do around the resort as it's not designed to leave it.

Plan your meals during the worst of it and take time over them.

Kids club is supposedly great but also fills up sometimes months before the date you go so hopefully you got that sorted already!

Kids will still swim in the rain with no issues as well so long as it isn't freezing :)

@Andrasa thank you this is super reassuring. I have a tendency to overthink so great to know it's still been a success despite the rain!

We went to Olivia last year and are going to Oceania next week. Weather is beautiful this week and it does keep changing for next week. Remember they have a micro climate there so it’s not always accurate on the app!

There's not much around Olivia at all in walking distance (I went for a run most mornings and went 5k ish both directions) but as already mentioned do the Tesla and also try and book into the kids club asap if they are happy to be left!!

We came home from that place (though not ikos) last week and the weather was so much better than the forecasts to don’t despair. Have a great time

We are going to Ikos Dassia in a couple of weeks and I am nervously watching the weather too. This time last year when I booked the weather was showing as perfect sunshine every day too.

Fingers crossed it improves!

Thank you so much everyone! It's our first holiday in about five years and first with kids so trying to manage my expectations. September has the ability to be so beautiful for weather but we've also been unlucky. Very helpful to know the app / forecasts are not always perfect too. I live in hope!

There’s very little to do nearby any of the Ikos hotels tbf, we’ve been to several. Suspect that it won’t be continuous rain so you’ll be able to make the most of the sun when you have it. Just go prepared with a few games. They sometimes run a bus service into local town which might give an option. Dassia and Odisia do this, can’t remember about Olivia.
