NYC - Broadway recommendations

Hi,
DH and I are going to NYC (first time) at the end of the month and would love to see a Broadway musical.
We've already seen Lion King and loved it; we would see it again but would prefer something as good that we haven't seen.

What do you recommend? And what is the best way to get tickets that doesn't involve queuing for hours?

Thank you

I loved Hamilton, it's great if you're interested in US history and I have listened to the album a million times on Spotify. I also like The Book of Mormon though I would skip it if you're sensitive to religious jokes.

If you're a Harry Potter fan i see the new show is on at Broadway, I have tickets to see the show in Chicago in 2 weeks so I can let you know how it goes if you're interested.

If you liked Lion King you may like Aladdin, I haven't seen the Broadway show of Aladdin but I've seen it on a cruise and it was great.

Another vote for Hamilton. You will have the best time.

We did Broadway Roulette last year. If you're flexible about what you see, it's a great cheap option.

We got tickets (great seats) for Kimberly Akimbo which I would never have bought for, but loved it.

I've just taken a look at what's on and would go for Wicked, Chicago or Cabaret.

Thank you, I will have a look at these suggestions tomorrow as too tired now to make a sensible decision

Hills of California has just transfered to Broadway. We saw it in London. BRILLIANT

If you're of a certain age, Back To The Future is amazing. We saw it last summer.

Hadestown. Hands down a musical for grown ups.

Has anyone used Today Tix?
They look good if we have a specific show in mind but would like to haer others experience.
Thanks

Hamilton and Hadestown are both superb (I've seen the West End productions of both). I personally did not enjoy Wicked at all - but that's me.

Hadestown - I saw it on Broadway last Christmas and it was superb.

Suffs is the best Broadway show I’ve seen in years. And yes, Todaytix is a legitimate vendor! You used to have to meet a rep outside the theatre to get your tickets, but now they send them electronically.
