Seville in October??

sleepwouldbenice · 13/09/2024 00:33

Tempted by this for a few nights, either the first or second week
Will it be warm, as in say mind 20's at least?
Didn't fancy going when sweltering in summer, but can't get time off for a few weeks now

Any thoughts please?

I think it’s a bit unpredictable in terms of weather but I’m sure it would still be lovely … I quite fancy Valencia

Forgottenmyphone · 13/09/2024 06:06

We were there last year in October and it was actually too hot for my DM! I thought it was just right though!

HerewegoagainSS · 13/09/2024 06:25

Seville has its own microclimate. It’s hot all year round!!!! October is a perfect time to go

Grrrpredictivetex · 13/09/2024 07:19

Sorry to jump on this thread but anyone have suggestions where to stay? Lovely. Seville.

Beck30 · 13/09/2024 07:34

We went in late October 2021. It was mid-high 20's every day. Loved it - wondering about going to that region again this year. Obviously can't guarantee the weather but that's the same everywhere.

Where would you fly from OP? I'm struggling to find direct flights in April so might have to fly via Barcelona and do a night there either side. Ryanair do direct flights until March then nothing 😑

Spomb · 13/09/2024 07:58

We went in October and it was 30C!! It’s a beautiful city.

WithIcePlease · 13/09/2024 09:10

I'm going to Seville in November for an autumn city break. I'm hoping it's low 20's for sightseeing.
Fly direct from Birmingham with Ryanair.

We went in November last year - there was a Xmas market just starting. It was about 20 degrees in the daytime and you needed a jacket or cardi in the evening. My favourite city! We pre-booked the Alcazar and did a fab walking tour of the Jewish Quarter.

I went to Valencia last October and the weather was fabulous.

Love love love Seville ❤️

AngelsWithSilverWings · 13/09/2024 11:48

I went to Seville one October half term and it was 30 and sunny. It's a fabulous city.

TheFlis · 13/09/2024 11:48

We went to Seville the first week of October a few years ago and the first couple of days it was 40 degrees!! 😓Thankfully it then dropped to a more manageable 30.

You can get the train from Malaga which takes a couple of hours, if you can get to Malaga easily.. you can book train tickets on trainline.com here before you go if you're worried about getting tickets when you get there.

If you aren't against Airbnb, I've stayed here which was a great location

We went in January, just before Covid struck, and it was glorious. Sat in Hercules plaza with drinks in our t-shirts.

Thanks @sallysoup I quite like Airbnb.
I've been enlisted to organise a big group trip of about 10! Really tricky to find suitable places. Will bookmark this for a smaller trip.

Bjorkdidit · 13/09/2024 12:10

There might be more flights released by Ryanair soon, so worth looking out for.

But otherwise, a train or coach from Malaga, where there will be far more flights from the UK available, is another option. Look on Alsa.es for details of the coach.

TheDogsMother · 13/09/2024 12:20

I went at the beginning of November one year and it was 30 degrees on the first and mid 20s after. It was fabulous and I just love Seville. Have fun.

Rory17384949 · 13/09/2024 14:01

Yes I've been in October and it was perfect, we even drove down to the coast one day and had a beach day!

socks1107 · 13/09/2024 14:04

I went in June this year and it rained every day 😂. And windy and when it wasn't raining it was grey. Eternal bloody grey. The sun came out as we left for the airport

60andraring · 13/09/2024 14:11

My experience was different re October last year. Some days it was mid 20s, others it rained and was grey. It's still lovely though.

We stayed here which was lovely and central. Cars on cobbles were noisy, mind.

I have been twice in October and twice in February and it was perfect every time weatherwise. DH burnt his forehead sitting in the square having lunch one October
