Help me plan a week on Langkawi

Hi, I will be traveling to Langkawi with a 2 and 8 year old along with DH this December during the Xmas holidays
Could you guide me as to things to do apart from going to the beaches. I would have loved to go visit the waterfalls and walk through a forest, it's impractical with 2 young ones
Anyone who has been. What's your advice. What should I do, where do I stay. Thank you

Great thanks. We stayed five days in Kuala Lumpar which is great for shopping but much preferred our last five days in Langkawi.

Note there shopping centres in Langkawi are small and push more tax free shopping like chocs and alcohol.

We avoided the waterfall too as we have had our kids with us.

The sky cab is amazing. You can either buy at the entrance or further in.

There is a shopping village by the sky cab which was good for souvenir shopping and plenty of restaurants We got free entry into the 3D museum which was fun and had AC.
We walked up to the lift for the sky cab. It’s through the forests so you can see monkeys. The stairs was quite narrow and you have people coming down too. Was hard in the heat so might want to pay for the glider up to the sky cab. This was about 10 ringits. We opted for the glider on the way down.
You see the main waterfall from the sky cab. The cab stops by the eagle statue and you can stand on the glass box. This is extra and we didn’t opt for it. You can get off here or keep going to the sky bridge. There is another platform up the steps.

The wildlife park is really good. Lots of opportunities to take photos with animals. Buy two bags of animal for per child otherwise you will ran out halfway.

Just realised we didn’t do much as the kids wanted to stay by the pool and we did so much in Kuala Lumpur.
