Budapest or Bucharest

Am looking to do a 4 day break with my adult daughter in March. Food, drinks, sightseeing and spas. Been looking at either Budapest or Bucharest - any of you guys been to either/both and can help me choose please?

I would choose Budapest.

Bucharest is an interesting place to visit but unless you want to travel to other places in Romania, I think you would get bored after 4 days.

Never been to Bucharest so can't comment but Budapest is lovely!

I've only been to Budapest, but it would be perfect for what you are looking for.

My DS has been to both Budapest and Bucharest, he said there was much more to do in Budapest than Bucharest, and it was also prettier. He enjoyed Bucharest, but only did 2 nights there , and said that was enough. Although he loved the Therme Spa

Love Budapest. Thinking of going back for my birthday. Make sure you book one of those free walking tours.

Agree with the first reply. Bucharest is interesting, but Budapest has a lot more to offer.

Budapest. You could do Bucharest in a couple of hours, Budapest has loads to see and do.

Budapest is fantastic for a short break, loads to see and do and the city is absolutely beautiful. I’ve only been once but I’d love to go back. Have a lovely break!

Budapest IMO. I love Romania but not Bucharest (nicer places to visit in Romania).
