Women summer camp?

Hi everyone, I am looking for ideas of places to go abroad, similar to a kids summer camp but for woman only, with optional activities? There just seems to be hardcore yoga retreats/outdoor stuff and I want to be able to have a relaxing meal and a drink in the evening. I found one in the south of France but it's booked out for next year and pretty expensive. Any ideas?

I would be interested to hear responses to this too!

Pretty sure there are ones based around cookery or reading rather than exercise - if you google eg cooking retreat Italy you will find them. There’s probably all sorts of others like art based or photography or walking etc too.

Yes the ones I’ve seen do seem to be centred round one kind of activity - some are multi activity but very much all sporty/outdoorsy or all health/wellness for example

there are a couple here which look broader https://www.responsibletravel.com/holidays/just-for-women - take a look at the moroccan and Italian trips? Possibly some of the others

Women only holidays in 2024 & 2025 | Responsible Travel

Women only holidays. Holidays that are just for women range from small group cycling holidays to restorative retreats where you can enjoy some pampering, culture or simply chilling.

These are moving around tho rather than in one place so not the same

Yep think the Camp Chateau is on its own

OP make sure it's actually just for women though and don't include men with "special" identities as in some countries unfortunately it's against the law to exclude them.

I only say this as for some women who are looking for a retreat after abuse etc the presence of a male in therapy settings can be very triggering.

I sometimes think I'd like something like this, then I remember that it would probably stress me out, and that I should probably just go away on my own and see how it goes. I think I'd like something like this with a lot of downtime and optional things.

Yes, sadly it looks like camp chateau includes transwomen in its definition of woman.

Edited to say, that of course that may not bother you. It would me.

@PaleBlueMoonlight me too, female only retreats can be so restful for some of us women. An opportunity to turn your attention to yourself rather than your triggers.

It's the only thing I loved about living in the Middle East for a few years, the women only spas, they were wonderful.
