Albania

Thinking about next summer and possibly Albania. Has anyone been, would you recommend it? Have been looking at the Durres area. Two adults and two teens, we're pool and beach people but would like to explore a bit too.

From what I've seen on youtube and read (haven't actually been there) the popular Albanian beaches tend to be completely covered in sun loungers, there is music blaring out from all the beach bars and there's a lot of hawkers constantly trying to sell you stuff. It is supposed to be cheap but it's my idea of hell (why I've never been) but it depends what you like. As I say I've never been so I'm only going on what I've seen and read.
