Villa recommendations

I am looking for a villa pretty much anywhere on the Med that meets the following requirements:

• Two or three bedrooms
• Private pool with shady area / umbrellas
• No more than an hour from airport
• Walking distance to restaurants & shops
• Air con and WiFi
• More local experience than party town

I have found the Aphrodite Hills ones in Cyprus but it looks like everything is just based around the hotel.

Anyone been anywhere great recently and can recommend?

Look on air BnB or local rentals but try
Port de pollensa in Majorca. Check you are walking distance to the port/beach.
Trogir in Croatia was lovely too but not sure how many pools I saw.

Forgot to add - I am very anti AirBnB. They have decimated property stock in my local area (popular holiday spot).

I’m all for people investing and making money but it has come at a huge cost to our local community. I’d just rather not add fuel to the fire.

The look for local letting agents too. However most of them also advertise on air BnB (but cheaper to go to agent direct). Booked both my villas in Croatia this summer that way.

Villa Alondras in Lanzarote puerto del carmen. Expensive but gorgeous

We've stayed at this Villa in Kefalonia a couple of times and loved it for all of reasons you mention. It's been a struggle to find somewhere else which compares!

Budget or is money no object?

@TreadSoftlyOnMyDreams No more than £7k for a week at the end of August but would like it to be more like £5k. I can find exactly what I want if I have a spare £20k knocking around 😂😂😂

Bigger than you asked for and slightly over budget in a small town/fishing village. Sandy beaches are on the south coast so about 30 mins away
