Advice needed. Plane travel with formula

The baby is on special formula which has to be prescribed. We are going on a 4 hour flight so need to give him a bottle. Has anyone experienced this? Can we take the formula in the dispenser? Do we need to take an unopened tin? Will they let us take a full tin through security? Any advice is appreciated.

you can take however much you think you'll need/want to have in whatever form. They'll test it as you go through security so have it in a separate bag and allow a little extra time
