Has anyone got any experience doing a 3/4 day trip during term time? Preferably during a long weekend due to inset days. Seeing if this could be a more affordable option to get my children abroad or would it be too much hassle? Not looking to go anywhere too far, maybe Spain, Greece or Portugal so that the time difference wouldn’t be too bad.
also are school fines only after a certain amount of unauthorised absences, or are you fined purely for the fact you took a holiday during term time?
