Isle of Man - Ireland dog friendly holiday

I have in mind for next year something like
ferry to isle of man
Few days there
ferry to Ireland, maybe spending 1 - 1/2 weeks there then ferry back to England

I don’t want to leave my dog in the car on the ferry, so need a dog friendly option

has anyone done anything similar and have any advice?

Your only option to go from England to the IOM is taking the ferry (Manxman) from Heysham to Douglas. There are two pet friendly lounges on board, or you can book a pet friendly cabin. The Manannan fast craft which goes from Liverpool doesn't allow dogs on the passenger decks, they have to be left in the car.

You will be limited on travel to Ireland, there is only usually one trip per week to Dublin and one to Belfast (not even that in autumn/winter) and I can't remember if the Manxman does that run or whether it's the Manannan so your dog would have to stay in the car.

Have a look at the Isle of Man steam packet company website, though the timetables for next year won't be out for another month or so.
