Feb dream beach holiday ideas with a 7 year old...but stuff to do for hubby who gets bored!

Hi

I'm looking for some ideas as I'm driving myself mad looking online.
I want to take my family away, me, hubby and a 7 year old.
I just want to lay around a luxury pool and white sandy beach and relax.
Child loves water slides and kayaking
And hubby is the real problem! He gets bored so quickly so will need stuff to do outside the hotel, culture, history, treetop walks, adventures etc...

I want to be warm, so ruled out Europe and the canaries..
Any ideas?
Just somewhere a bit different but not too far to get to.. 10 hours max

Caribbean. Look for a hotel which offeres watersport.

Barbados is great for exploring on your own, just rent a car. Lots of boat trips for snorkling. They have a lovely little museum and a house George Washington lived in.

Mexico? I'd never fancied it as in my head I thought we would be stuck on the resort but went with inlaws a few weeks back and had an amazing time luxury ai but then going to see Mayan sights, snorkeling with turtles etc.
