Jet2/Tui/ThomasCook/Easyjet holidays etc - pros and cons?

They all do the hotel and dates we want, but vary a bit in price and also have different flight times and airports. Putting that aside, what are the pluses and minuses of each - we did a jet2 holiday previously and did really appreciate how easy the transfers were and how smoothly everything went but other than that we didn't need to reps or anything.

We have used Jet2 many many times and never had a problem. Went with Tui this year and I was disappointed that the backage allowance is only 15kg per person

It depends what hotel you book, we went Tui this year and had 25kg each!

We used Jet2 several times tbh just because we liked the particular resort and it was a bit more expensive through one of others and not available through anyone else. Plus Jet2 flights were more convenient. In general our experience was ok. There was a delay with our flight but friend was with Tui and had delay as well.

We always use jet2. Just come back from trip with them. Everything went smoothly.

Just checked the same hotel next year same month and the difference is eye watering though. So not keen on the prices right now.

We've done two Jet2 holidays and have been seemless both times so would recommend.
Have also done an easyJet package when eldest was a toddler so about 10 years ago, all went smoothly, but not sure if they're still good

If you ring one to say the same hotel is a bit cheaper with a rival do you think they’d offer a discount?

Can't hurt to try! I did find on one occasion when I rang Jet2 with a question they magically found a discounted price while I was on the phone, which gave a surprising saving on the website price (apparently it's also worth checking the mobile app too, as that can offer different discounts).

I like Jet2 but I know others have holidayed with TUI and no problems. I would just recommend if going with TUI that you chose a holiday/dates that uses their own flights as sometimes they use eg EasyJet and I think there's more chance of possible issues if flights are changed if it's a different carrier .

I've never flown BA - don't think they fly from Birmingham?
