Hello,

I'm hoping you'll have some great ideas and recommendations as I don't even know what I'm looking any more.

I want to take my daughter away next summer (with my mum so in theory we could qualify for a free child place).

My requirements are:

  • clean
  • all inclusive

My daughters requirements are

  • water slides
  • splash pad
  • good olives
  • a swim up bar with umbrellas in the drinks

Ideally it would be in Spain, Greece, Italy or Portugal, although I could do Turkey at a push (have been tons of times before!).

I've looked at so many places at this point that I feel like I can't be subjective and choose.

Thank you!

Stella Palace in Crete ticks all your boxes except..,, the kids cocktails don’t come with umbrellas !

Atlanticp Ocean Beach, Maleme, Crete - it was fabulous although no swim up bar! Not sure on the umbrellas!

Spice hotel turkey

Gorgeous

Look at the family luxe option on jet2holidays and then select the filters for AI, highest TA rating, on site water park, dates, departure airport to give a shortlist.

If you find a good AI hotel with your main requirements, I'm sure you'll be able to take cocktail umbrellas or buy them locally.

Titanic deluxe Lara in Turkey.

no swim up bar but really brilliant all inclusive for kids and the water park is great.

TUI blue tropical in Turkey. No swim up pool bar, but there is a pool bar.

Clearinguptheclutter · 08/09/2024 16:12

By taking your own umbrellas I’m sure that will open a lot of options

longdistanceclaraclara · 08/09/2024 16:34

Tui blue Ibiza. No umbrellas though.

I've just come back from the hotel next door (sea view). There's a water park there, plenty of slides for your dd. We had a swim up room, which I would definitely do again.

Fodel and Stella palace (both in Crete) would meet your requirements. Waterpark is better at Stella but it’s decent enough at Fodel too.

Atlantico Mare Village Cyprus

I'm in the facebook group for this hotel and the morning rush for sun beds looks horrendous.

Twilightstarbright · 08/09/2024 16:59

Holiday village Rhodes but you might not get an umbrella in your drink every time!

longdistanceclaraclara · 08/09/2024 17:12

@Alwaystired23 we've been to Sea View. Is it still a Holiday Village or has it gone back to Sirenis? What did you think of it?

Boniwa · 08/09/2024 17:13

Can't help but love your daughters list.

itsgettingweird · 08/09/2024 17:18

I was going to suggest if swim up isn't possible you could do a swim up room, take drinks umbrellas and you have your own swim up snack room and bar!

Loved this hotel I stayed for 11 nights. Booked in covid times so not as pricey as it will be now. The waterpark was spotless.

jeaux90 · 08/09/2024 17:23

@spuddy4 nope we could always get a sun bed. People are weird and want a sunbed exactly where they want it etc but we also had a swim up which was great. I never had an issue and I'm a 11am/noon kind of person on the beach or at the pool.

AllTheNames · 08/09/2024 18:09

These are all so helpful, thank you!

We've already planned to take paper umbrellas in our luggage so we'll have that covered!
