Thinking of Paris for the October break. Can anyone suggest a reasonably central hotel/apartment for 2 adults and 2 children. Haven’t been for years! Thanks!

We did the same 2 years ago and stayed here in a 1 bed apartment: https://www.discoverasr.com/en/citadines/france/citadines-saint-germain-des-pres-paris/apartment?utm_source=googlehotelads&utm_medium=metasearch&utm_campaign=-googlehotelads-metasearch-alwayson-20240126-all-all-eu-global---
It was big and location was good for food and sightseeing, carpets were not great but otherwise was fine. I found Paris is quite expensive accomodation wise, this one was like €450 per night. Hopefully you could find something cheaper, but we were booking 6 weeks in advance as are you. In the summer just gone we were back in France for a bit of Olympics and a bit of Disney and we stayed in a B&B brand hotel, the one we used was out in Torcy, but they have some that are in Paris but are not central Paris, but the price is pretty cheap. Worth a look, but you'd need to check transport links, it's probably worth the commute to save £1000.
