Winter sun for Feb half term

Has anyone any recommendations for a good winter sun destination with two kids for the Feb half-term? Ages 6 & 10. Or, nice AI resorts they could recommend? Don’t want anything too manic/busy! Ive been looking at the Canary Islands - don’t really want long haul and they seem like the best bet for heat. But having never been I don’t know where to start! Somewhere peaceful, within walking distance of a beach, picturesque harbour/town nearby. No interest in nightlife/entertainment.

Im also wondering whether the pools would be heated in February - as I’ve been to Majorca before in April & the pool was so cold it was unusable which was a shame as the kids really wanted to swim/play.

Thanks

I’ve heard great things about Hard Rock Tenerife from friends.

Canaries will be busy though- it’s a popular destination for the exact same reasons as you!

Egypt could be worth looking at.

Gran Canaria is great in February and you'll find some of the pools are heated. When we've been it's been low- mid 20's. Check out Puerto de Mogan or Puerto Rico. They're the most southernly resorts in the canaries and the landscape means often protected from wind.

I’m also looking for this and for same age kids. But don’t really fancy the canaries…Im wondering if I need a city break?! But then that seems maybe trickier with kids.
The prices are also crazy. It’s the same price to go to NYC as Europe.
