Parking at Luton Airport

I haven't flown for about 20 plus years, so a total newbie to the whole thing. We're flying out from Luton mid afternoon on a Monday and return around 11pm the following Monday. Does anyone have any parking recommendations that won't break the bank but also won't be too inconvenient?

We always use the long stay car park which is usually the cheapest, easy to get to and a bus comes round about every 15 minutes and drops you outside the entrance

If you google Luton airport parking or look at Google maps, all the options will come up. Long stay is usually cheapest due to distance from the terminal, however, there are other alternatives available run by third party operators which may be cheaper still.

Be careful who you choose as some of them take your car and park it elsewhere rather than it being on site at the airport.

FYI, the short stay is out of action due to a fire last year so there is no super close parking available at the moment.

Thanks @TeenagersAngst that's the issue - I've gone down a rabbit hole googling different options provided by third parties and the reviews are so mixed! But they're a lot cheaper than the official car parks.

You could look at parking at Luton Parkway railway station and taking the shuttle (light railway) to the airport. The shuttle is i think £5 per person each way. I haven't parked at Luton for ages so not sure of the parking costs of the official car parks or the station car park, but worth looking at this as an option also

I know, I've been in your shoes. We're close enough to get a taxi so usually opt for that instead.

We're quite close, & use Purple Parking. Completely reliable, & safe.
When a flight was delayed & arrived in the small hours, the transfer bus was there for us.

P.S. Beware, there are some cowboys around.
A field near my village is used by a family of rogues; no security, & there have been complaints of damage to cars.
