We are looking to book a special birthday break in early December also been a generally shitty few years with illness etc.

Would like all inclusive preferably with decent food but would do not all inclusive / half board and near local restaurants etc for lunch or dinner out.

Adult only with a spa and nice facilities.

I like warm weather and Gran Canaria is supposed to be the warmest of the canaries. Is there a windy / less windy side of the island ?

thank you !

Riu Clubhotel in Meloneras. It's right on the promenade which has lots of nice restaurants too, if you did want to eat out. There's another Riu next door too. Good location.

Santa Catalina Hideaway (adult orientated) is lovely.

Gloria Palace San Agustin. Rooftop bar / pool is adult only and has an amazing Thalasso spa

Barcelo Margaritas Royal Level, although unsure on the spa facilities

Cordial Mogan Playa. Puerto Mogan. Not AI but fabulous restaurants in the harbour and beachfront.

Or Radisson Blu Puerto de Mogan
Not adults only but the top pool is a quiet zone. The best rooms are pool access around the top pool - building 1- you can sit on your lovely comfy sunloungers on your own patio then.
Not AI but Mogan has loads of lovely restaurants in the Marina and beachfront which is an easy flat walk.
Puerto de Mogan is sheltered and has its own microclimate, the weather is lovely.
Cordial Mogan Playa is also a nice hotel, we have stayed at both and favour the Radisson but there’s not much in it and I would happily stay at the Cordial again.

No tips but hopping onto thread as I am thinking of Gran Canaria this winter. We normally go to Lanzarote but I want a change. Probably January so preferable south west of the island to maximise chances of warm weather.
What is Melonaras like?
