New Passport; potential problem at check in.

I'm flying to France on BA on Friday and completed my API ages ago on booking.

Since then I've lost and replaced my passport. When I tried to update it on the API section of "Manage my Booking", it would only let me use my old pp number. So then I went onto my BA Membership Club thing and I did update it on there and that was acknowledged with the new no.

Logged out, logged back in and when I checked the API page, again it wouldn't let me use the new number, only the old one and threatened to chuck me off for 24 hours if I put the wrong number on again so I'm reluctant to keep checking it.

Inevitably BA's phone message essentially says don't bother phoning us, we won't respond.

Any bright ideas from anyone? Will I need to queue up at the airport?

Thanks in advance

Obvs its the boarding pass that I'm bothered about. Don't want to use old number to get the boarding pass if that's going to be red-flagged.

If you really can’t contact BA, you’ll need to speak to someone at the airport in person. I’ve been able to update API on the BA website before, perhaps they’ve taken away that option?

Thanks @RobinHood19 , I’m going to leave it a while in case it updates itself later.
BA message literally says they have too many calls and to try again another time 🙄

Is there a live chat option on BA? You might be able to reach them that way.

Try in the morning around 10am if you can (so when statistically less people should be on the line), or if you have international minutes, call one of their centres in a different country. The European numbers usually pick up within a few minutes.
