PLLLLLEEEAAAAASSSSEEEE ..... I will beg for help if necessary.

have just searched through TC website and all thats left are 18-30 nasty apartments where no-one sleeps and huge high rise blocks for families with children who have chavvy names and piercings

is this how I'm destined to spend my summer blub

hols

we have traveled with these people before ..apartments are clean and near beach and facilites..lanzarote is lovely too.

This year we are going to cyprus to First choices Holiday Villages. I decided I wanted stuff for my dd (4) to do as she is alone.

Last year we went to PORTAVENTURA theme park and stayed in the Portaventura hotel which was lovely. Not sure if any of those help. I spent weeks searching the interent and looking at brochures. I think to get the right holiday for you takes ALOT of time and effort..Good luck

mosschops30 · 19/04/2008 13:42

thanks widgy but think we have found now (after much trawling). Its not up to our normal standard but is high season and we're late booking so just have to lump it.

btw just come back from cyprus and was the best holiday ive ever had, going back in september was lovely

widgypog · 19/04/2008 13:44

cool..glad you got one...just looked at lanzarote and it is available and cheap..

widgypog · 19/04/2008 13:44

am soooo looking forward to going to Cyprus.. I have been quite a few times before but just looking at that sunshine makes me feel happy!!

mosschops30 · 19/04/2008 14:05

ooh I might have a look then, will lanzarote be unbearable in august though?
does it include flights or do I have to do that separate
where r u going in Cyprus?

mosschops30 · 19/04/2008 14:07

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 19/04/2008 14:15

where in cyprus did you stay, mossy? i'm vaguely looking to book somewhere for a week and my head is swimming. me and dh never book holidays properly but i'm realising with dd now that's all A Bit Different.

mosschops30 · 19/04/2008 14:40

I went with my mum and stayed at the St George hotel. It was lovely, just been refurbed, staff couldnt do enough for you, no running for sunbeds, close to beach. Everything i wanted.
How old is your dd? Not sure I'd take my kids there although there were kids there but it wasnt a family orientated hotel (i.e. no kids clubs, although daytime entertainment for older ones).
Loved it all though, very peaceful and relaxing and the cypriot people are so nice and friendly

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 19/04/2008 18:21

she's only 2, that's why my eyes are bleeding tbh. not old enough for kids clubs or spending all day at the pool plus dh and i aren't natural pool people, we're more city types.
i think i might start a thread, tbh, i am So RUbbish at this i could actually cry...

widgypog · 19/04/2008 19:48

going to paphos...hotel Aliathon..

does not include flight on tariffs on website but prices are per apartment. they can get flights for you at best price and they are a family company who own the apts.
Think it will be hot in August but pool and beach to cool down.

widgypog · 19/04/2008 19:49

what weeks do you want to go..ill have a look for you

widgypog · 19/04/2008 19:53

just had a look costa luz (on beach) is available for august and is between 360 and 470.Total plus flights so well under your budget I would think.

I havent actually stayed here I have stayed at club oceano (more inland). And it was basic but clean..What I know of Lanzarote alot of apts are like this. It is right near (but not too near) the restaurants and shops so ideal for tired children.
Peurto Del Carmen is the biggest resort in Lanzarote but nothing like Benidorm or anything , quite subtle

widgypog · 19/04/2008 19:55

aitch,--- we are staying in the hotel Aliathon which is now a first choice holiday village which are all 4 star hotels with subtly loads going on..have a look on first choice website...we havent been yet but it looks lovely.

I have stayed at Annabelle and know Alexander the great if that helps

Ambi · 19/04/2008 20:01

Turkey also seems pretty reasonable for those details.

AitchTwoOhelicopterfraek · 19/04/2008 20:22

i am just looking for a week, but it needs to be between the 27th may and home on the 4th june. and direct flights from glasgow, which is what's causing my fits of the vapours.
