Nice things to do in Nice/Cote d'Azur

Any tips would be great:

Me and my girlfriends are off to Nice at the end of the month. I'm quite familiar with it but have only been with the family and we've not done really glam things or long lunches dripping in Rosé.

Now we have three days to do wonderful things and I need some tips.

Planning to swim, potter around old town, pop over to Villefranche for a swanky lunch but would love to know what we're missing.

Any great restaurant tips, anywhere in cap d'antibe?

We want all sorts of hidden gems.

Thank you!

Go to the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild at St Jean Cap Ferat- gorgeous gardens and a glamorous restaurant for lunch.

Restaurant La Passagere is expensive but worth it if you like good food with amazing views. We also enjoyed sea views at L’Ostral.

Antibes is worth a visit for the Picasso museum and the market (I think Fridays). Also you can get by bus to Vence for the artists quarter and the Chapelle de la Rosarie (designed by Henri Matisse).

Yes St Paul de Vence and the Fondation Maeght, Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild are both good days out. The little train all along the coastal towns is great. It's been 15 years since I did it though so not sure I have anything much to add but I thought Nice was really nice- the Chagall museum, modern art gallery and the monastery place were all good.

I went to Nice With a girlfriend about 6 months after having my third child . We went for day trips to Juan le pins, lovely beach , and Eze, Which is a medieval village With stunning views over the French Riviera. We had a drink , or Two, in a very swanky hotel bar, and then explored a botanical garden. On Our last day We booked a few hours on the beach in Nice , You have To book in advance . We also did a bike tour of Nice , Which finishes With one steep climb, But the views are worth it ! Go to the hotel bar at le Negresco for drinks .

Antibes and Menton are both lovely for day trips and really easy by train

We rented a car and drove to Club 55 St Tropez for lunch and a shopping spree. Four Seasons Cap Ferrat for lunch is an experience.. Then walk down the path filled with herbs and coves to the beach.

Agree with Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild - it’s delightfully bonkers. Do take the free audioguide as it tells you loads about her and her various eccentricities. We also loved the ferry to the Lerin islands off Cannes for something a bit different? en.cannes-france.com/discover-visit/lerins-islands/
