Taking dd2 (17) away at half term and for various reasons have ended up booking 4 nights in Warsaw. Anyone been and can give me some top tips?

The old centre is amazing - destroyed by the Nazis, reconstructed by the Communists. Except the castle - which the local people rebuilt themselves in the 70s. The castle is worth a visit. The Warsaw Rising museum was great. I really liked the Museum of Life under Communism, but I am a geek. We had a trip up the Palace of Culture and Science as well.

We enjoyed the vodka tasting (there's a lot of them). We ignored the many, many, many Chopin concerts.

E. Wedel is a chain of chocolate shops, we had a number of hot chocolates & chocolate desserts. And we had lots of pierogi...

For food Soul Kitchen is amazing, not to be missed, we had a fabulous meal there, you need to book.
Been to Warsaw a few times and this is a brilliant spot for brunch, highly highly recommend.

Thank you so much this is great! Warsaw wasn’t on our list but just fits perfectly for half term and dd2 is very excited

I LOVE Warsaw. Make sure you go to a Milk bar, they are communist cafes. It's a great experience. I had a couple of tours which were very informative.
