Has anyone been on the Lapland day trip with Canterbury Travel?

If so, what did you wear/take with you?

I'm aware they provide the thermal snowsuits and boots upon arrival, but what did you wear underneath? How many layers? Any tips on where to get things from?!

Also what else did you take with you in the form of bags etc? I know it's only a day trip but just thinking about may be spare clothes for DC/medicines etc...

Thank you in advance

I did a 2 night trip with Canterbury, we wore thermals as a base layer and jeans/leggings and jumper over the top. The weather was just below freezing and that was fine. If below -10 Celsius then you probably need more clothes. Generally people were peeling the snow suit off down to the waist when sat on the bus. We had a rucksack with water and snacks we left on the bus, plus spare camera batteries/portable charging pack for phone. Batteries (camera/phone) die a lot quicker than normal in cold temperatures. You'd probably want a change of clothes for kids if they are of an age when they might pee or vomit on their clothes. It's going to be a really long day for you all.

Thank you for the reply! Yes will be a long day, I vaguely remember doing it as a child in the early 90's with parents. Thank you for the tips, especially re the chargers!
