I am currently on a family holiday in Turkey in a hotel where the service is frankly awful, so to cheer myself up I am researching a child free holiday to Mexico in March.

DH and I have a couple holiday and also family holiday with dc's yearly so would like return to Mexico (where we honeymooned) this year in March.

We will be going for 2 weeks (dc will be with their father and in school). Happy to be in adult only or general but not overly family orientated hotel.

I need a decent gym and a large hotel
With loads of activities such as tennis / water sports / large grounds to roam filled with animals (especially monkeys)

We stayed at the grand sirens in Rivera maya and liked;
Lazy river
Coffee shop
Good gym
Larger grounds

But would like more adult activities such as cooking classes etc

Can anyone recommend a hotel? Budget up to 2500 each

Have a look at the hotels that make up the Vidanta Resort. The grounds are really large and there's loads to do. I was impressed with the gym. We stayed at the Grand Luxxe.

I would look for an adult-only resort, such as Secrets… (have not stayed myself but looks amazing)
