Portugal recommendations

Planning a holiday with DP and 8-9 mo for Oct/ Nov time and wondering what area (flying into faro) would be best/ easiest to get to and good for families? Any actual hotel/ apartment suggestions would be great. Planning 1 week with budget roughly 1k.

We went to Carvoeiro, but that was in summer season, so not sure what it is like in November

I like Tavira or Cabanas but November is very quiet a lot if restaurants close or have very reduced hours. Is 1k including flights or just for accommodation?

Cabanas and Tavira will be lovely early October still plenty open then. You could probably rent a very nice apartment on the Opamar complex or there’s newish hotel complex called Golden Club Cabanas.
