Eurocamps on sites with hotels - recommendations please

I previously posted on here looking for euro camp recommendations, since then we've decided to go with our friends (another family). However he is not keen on the eurocamp accommodation and would rather be in a hotel so we're looking to find a park that also has hotel accommodation. There's one in Croatia but has anyone come across any others?

Do you have a particular country/region in mind? I know Domaine des Ormes in Brittany has a hotel (plus many other types of accommodation) if you book direct.

Are they completely against the self catering style accommodation or do they just want something a bit nicer than a caravan like the site's own chalets or a treehouse or something?

Lisbeth50 · 22/08/2024 22:38

Domaine des Ormes is the only one I know of.

Thanks both will look into it!
I think it was just the camping "vibe" he didn't like although I think he's assuming tents and caravans, not self catering apartments made out of actual walls 😂

Duinrell in the Netherlands has houses (Duingalows) as well as Eurocamp caravan/mobile home and tent accommodation.

If you want a Eurocamp holiday and he wants a hotel holiday, then you don't want the same kind of holiday and this isn't going to end well!!

Bella Italia, Lake Garda has tents, caravans, apartments & a hotel.

Really nice vibe to the place, with a more upmarket restaurant the hotel end.

Agree with @CatStoleMyChocolate You have to love the new accom in Duinrell if it is as good as it looks. Been 4 times with my kids in all sorts of accom from the cheapest Eurocamp caravan to Duingalows. Never camped there, although plenty do (and actually would not recommend it for the noise thing). It is a theme park with a great swimming pool (with slides) more foresty and naturey than most in Europe and it is nice when the daytrippers leave for the day. Shop, eating places, 40 km from AMS, train from AMS to Leiden takes 20 minutes, then it is either taxi (15 mins or bus - 40 mins) to park entrance. The other place to go is Tropical Islands in Berlin, (train to the local station, and then there is a bus transfer, takes 10 mins) has some tent things, ready erected, reasonably cheap for what you get. If you have no kids, I would not recommend either place. If you have kids, I would thoroughly recommend either. HTH x
