Thailand multi centre -family hotels

Looking to book Thailand for Easter 2026 and considering Krabi- Khao lak - Phuket as a multi centre.

Dd will be 12 and likes to mix with other kids of similar age. We like to have a wander out of an evening for food / markets.

My son is currently in Phuket at patong and that sounds too much for us.
4* and beachfront If possible. Any recommendations or places to avoid?

We have been to koh samui and returning this new year but also adding in koh Tao and koh phangnan so keen to try the "other side" of the Thailand

We went to Elephant Hills resort this summer and it was amazing. My teenage DD also met others of her own age in our tour group which was great. Very nice accommodation and could fit as part of a multi-centre in that general vicinity? They do transfers from Phuket.

Sorry to jump onboard the post, but wondered about Elephant Hills as well. We are planning a trip there this October. Is it as ethically sound as it seems to advertise? I always worry about this...
Thanks ☺️

Any recommendations for Koh Samui?? We are travelling with energetic 12 and 10 year olds! Thanks in advance.

@DietStartsM0NDAY So, it seemed pretty ethical to me. The elephants were 'owned' by Elephant Hills and although we went to meet them, their lifestyle sounded pretty good. When talking about having a male elephant with the guide, she was clear that a male needs more space. The whole Elephant Hills experience was fab - only the one afternoon with the elephants but the rest was other places looking for wildlife and making use of Elephant Hills resources.

We also went to Koh Samui (from Elephant Hills) which was great. Recommend Choeng Mon -it was a lovely resort with a beautiful beach. We stayed in a very small (3*) villa resort but there are lots of fancy hotels there too! Had a wonderful time! Would go back to Koh Samui anytime.

I was a disappointed with Samui - sea was cloudy this summer when we were there and beaches just okay. One ring road that is mega busy and horrible to walk along. Not really more than a day's tourist sites. Taxis were expensive. Choose your hotel carefully and make sure its got a great pool.

The Sands in Khao Lak is was great for kids, non of the elephant 'sanctuary's' are ethical much better to take a gamble of seeing/not seeing them in the wild in Khao Sok lake by boat.

We found La Flora in Khao lak great, beachfront and only few mins to loads of restaurants and bars, we preferred the area as more of a village feel and the restaurants and shops etc comes
down off the main road and with market there too, when compared to up the other end where The Sands is which seemed to have more of the all inclusives and less of a “centre” as mostly on the main road but I know others prefer that area.

If looking at Khao lak you need to work out which of the two main hub areas you want to be in - we liked Bang Niang and we were 2 primary aged kids - out to the early hours every night still though!

We also did elephant hills but in the north, was amazing
