We like to go away over Christmas We are looking for somewhere in Europe we can drive to that is a good Xmas destination and not mad expensive. I thought Bruges but its quite dear. We don't mind if its cold and we're used to driving long distances. My husbands holiday of choice is a road trip as he hates flying so we have done this a few times although not at Xmas.
Any ideas welcome!

We once spent Christmas week in Bavaria & Austria and it was honestly magical! Not sure if that would be too far for you?

We stayed in Mittenwald. Went to Neuchwanstein Castle and to Ehrwald where we took the cable car up Zugspitze which is Germany's highest mountain.

Then onto Innsbruck in Austria (so pretty and can highly recommend a visit to the Bergisel Ski Jump for amazing views and delicious food in the restaurant).

Everywhere was so snowy & Christmassy 🎄
