Decided to take 2/3 kids away for winter sun leaving husband and one kiddo who is obsessed with Halloween home. (All very happy with this plan.)

so it’s me a 14yo and a 9yo. We want not too far to fly or transfer. Everything in walking distance or taxi. Prob 5-6 nights warm enough to swim in the pools and lie in shade. Happy to all share a room and do all inclusive so we don’t need to think about food.

We are an ND family and not great with crowds and noise so somewhere quiet ish would be good.

thinking Canary Islands but any resort reccomendations or other reccomendations?

as 3 female solo travellers it’s a nope to Egypt or Turkey I think.

You’re going to struggle with hot enough to lie in the shade and not too far. Canaries will be 25c.

We love matagorda/playa los pocillos in Lanzarote. Strip of restaurants/shops along the beach promenade, nice but not too lively or full of drunk people. Can walk or cycle along the promenade for miles.

HD Parque Cristobal hotel in Gran Canaria is right in the middle of Playa del Ingles and has heated pools.

In terms of alternatives to Canaries, it's patchy.

Turkey is the place in Europe with the most reliable weather at that time, and that's out. You could try one of the southern Greek islands or Cyprus, with the former usually being cheaper. And with the bonus of being quiet, as it's end of season for Kos and Rhodes so a lot isn't open. The weather is less reliable than the Canaries though.
