Just back from a windy trip to north Crete and remembered how much I love Greece but didn't live the resort unfortunately! I'm Looking for a holiday with DC aged 9 and 13 for next summer. Can anyone recommend a nice greek resort with the following...

Beach with calm sea for swimming

Water sports

Harbour or direct access to boat trips

A reasonable selection of shops/bars

Extra points for somewhere wit a bit of charm and/or a decent AI hotel!

Rhodes!!

No idea, just in here looking for Greek family holiday inspiration!

THIS!!!! We've been to Rhodes twice and it's our absolutely favourite place. The sea is incredibly clear and calm. The island is unbelievably beautiful with so much to see and there are amazing AI hotels. Our favourite one was Cyprotel Faleraki. It has a water park, several pools and is very close to the beach.
