Kos or Crete late September

Looking to go away for a week at the end of September for a big birthday, just me and DH.

Narrowed it down to Kos or Crete as they still seem to be reasonably warm at that time of year. I’ve never been to either before and could really do with some help, please!

Criteria
not all inclusive
Sea view
easy walk to shops/restaurants/bars
modern rooms with a nice pool
budget around £3000 max

any help on resorts or hotels gratefully received, thank you.

We went to Grecotel Imperial Kos last September. It was lovely. Beautiful hotel, great food, lovely staff. Right on the (shingle) beach. Multiple pools. Regular buses into Kos Town from right outside the hotel. Definitely recommend. We went half board.

We are thinking the same. We went to Grecotel Corfu Imperial on HB earlier in the year and were really impressed. I think you should be able to get some deals on dining in the speciality restaurants.
