Milan to London by train - via where?

Hi, travelling next summer from Milan to London. Rather than fly we'd like to travel by train and stop somewhere lovely on the way for 3-4 days. Where would be a good place to visit en route? With childrens age 7+10.

Switzerland, Lake Lucerne or interlaken?
