Does anyone else have experience of issues getting refunds on property booked in good faith with free cancellation options? We booked accommodation in Canada some months ago through a well known online booking agent/tour operator and became concerned at being asked to pay in full some four months in advance. A few weeks back we were asked to pay a security deposit weeks in advance of arrival - this started ringing alarm bells with me so decided to cancel and find alternative accommodation. This was over 2 weeks ago and still haven't got a refund - I assumed (probably naively) that the refund would be fairly quick. I've chased the agent but their process dictates it may be at least another week before we receive anything. Anyone else had a similar experience or any advice?
