Things to do near La garangeoire - not the beach!

Off to the Vendee later this week with our two DC aged 6 and 3. Appreciate any recommendations for things to do/places to take them to in the area? We live near the beach and go most days so suggestions other than the beaches would be great!

Also breaking our drive down on outskirts of Rennes but accommodation won’t be ready until 4pm - any suggestions for good things to do between Rennes/Nantes/Vendee area?

I should add we’ve been to Puy du Fou (and loved it) but aren’t planning on going back this trip.

I can't help with your area of the Vendee, we stayed near Fontenay le Comte in the Marais Poitevin so I think a bit too far to drive.

In terms of stopping though, you might look at Nantes for either: https://www.lesmachines-nantes.fr/ or https://chantiers-atlantique.com/ Unfortunately we've never made it to either but they look fab!

Thank you - yes we are tempted by Nantes and I think kids would enjoy it.
